Stunning hotel and location. Definitely a room with a view!

Pros: Large room and bathroom with lots of character. Spacious walk in shower with lovely hot and high pressured shower. Skylight windows on the ceiling with a view of the cliffs and amazing looking at the stars once it goes dark when the sky is clear. Location is beautiful right on the edge of the fjord. In the reception building there was a large open fire which was kept stoked which was lovely sitting by. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We booked our evening meal there from the normal menu which was very tasty. Breakfast was included in the rate and had a great little spread of hot and cold options for both food and drink, we spent ages sampling all the different jams and Norwegian spreads. Definitely our favourite day and night spent in Norway.

Cons: No space to store luggage once checked out of your room. We had a long wait for our bus in the evening so we had to pay for the lockers outside the building to store our 4 bags so we could explore the fjord and visit the Viking Village without having to carry them around with us.

The best hotel I've ever stayed in

Pros: This hotel is in a fabulous location, the most beautiful place I've ever been. Our room was very cozy and comfortable. It was nice to have a refrigerator and adjustable electric heater. It was very warm, which is very important in a cold climate. I especially want to compliment the breakfast. I've never had such a delicious, filling, and varied breakfast in a hotel! Even though I've visited 16 countries, I recommend this hotel 1000%. The service and care are top-notch!

Amazing location next to fjord.

Pros: Beautiful location next to the fjord and the Viking village. Lovely restaurant to eat in.

Cons: Room was cold when we arrived and took a while to warm up. But still loved it.

Great 2 night stay in a Viking room

Pros: We had a Viking room which we enjoyed. It had an excellent and large walk in shower with a really good heated floor. The room was a good size. The breakfast staff were excellent and the house-keeping staff very helpful offering extra towels etc. A great stay.

Unique location

Pros: Lovely small village, nice place to stay after tourists have left for the day. Viking village was interesting and the scenery beautiful. Food in restaurant was quite good and plentiful breakfast.

Cons: Rooms were ok, a little tired.

Pros: The room was cozy and very comfortable in general, with stylish Viking deco and a nice view of mountains from the ceiling. They was also space for luggage storage after checkout. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They even kindly arranged some space for me in the cafe for an important job interview.

Beautiful view..

Pros: The view.. and the location -close to port, close to bus stop, close to viking village, and the fjord right in front of you.

Cons: That we had to walk quite a distance to the apartment carrying our luggage, bags & small kids.. There was no help offered to help us (i also didn't ask because i didnt want to bother them). The walk in the rain to have breakfast was okay, it was fun walking, it was an experience.
