Myrkdalen Resort Hotel

Pros: Located next to the slope is very convenient. The room is spacious. Ski bus to n from Voss is just outside the hotel.

Cons: Better to reserve a table for dinner if u plan to eat at the 2 restaurants.

Pros: This was our first visit to a ski resort and we absolutely loved it. What a beautiful hotel! Our room over-looked the ski slopes and was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The 3 course meal in the evening was a real treat and Masterchef quality. We loved the cozy sitting areas in the hotel lounge, where we could enjoy a drink after a day of skiing.

Cons: I would have liked an English news channel like CNN or BBC on the TV in the room.

Pros: Clean spacious room. Ski in Ski out excellent location.

A quiet stay in September with access to some excellent walks amongst some exceptional scenery

Pros: The views of this location are very good. We stayed in September so the venue was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The pearl on the way from Oslo to Bergen

Pros: We stayed at this hotel by accident, because the road to Bergen was closed. We were delighted with the beauty and coziness of the hotel! The view from the room is stunning - you can see the slope of the hills where people go skiing in winter. The room was spacious. I especially want to draw attention to the fact that the room has heating (not a fan coil, but a full-fledged water heating radiator), and at the end of June it was turned on! It was cool outside, so the room was very warm and cozy! This is simply top class! The breakfast is very varied and delicious! Again, you sit with a panoramic view and enjoy the food. Special thanks to the girl at the reception: she had a very stressful situation, many guests and calls, but she remained very friendly! This is worth a lot!

Cons: Everything is almost perfect! The only recommendation: when you combine two beds into one, they can slide apart, the floor is slippery. I had to tie the legs of the bed with my jeans :)

Nice hotel in the mountains

Pros: Spacious room, floor heating, nice balcony, excellent breakfast, nice staff

Cons: The hotel had a good restaurant but it is pretty much the only place you can eat in the area (at least in the month of May, may be different in other months).

Pros: We spent a night here during our road trip, and the location of this hotel is absolutely stunning. On one side — waterfalls and mountains; on the other — snow and a glacier, even in June! It was truly beautiful and unforgettable. The hotel itself is newly renovated, with a modern and fresh feel. We enjoyed a good dinner and a great breakfast. I highly recommend this place — whether you’re coming in winter for skiing or in summer to explore the beauty of Norway.

Fab family holiday, great skiing and will be back again next year

Pros: This is second time coming back here and was just as great as the first time. Brilliant beginner family resort, the ski in / ski out is great. All the routes come back to the hotel so for older kids it’s great they can go off on their own and know where they are and meet back at the lift. Staff are friendly and happy to help, food in both restaurants is great. As is the coffee shop and cafes up and down the slope. Rooms were clean, everything you need. Had a problem with the hot water first day but quickly sorted by reception staff Brilliant addition to the hotel is the darts and bowling, had loads of fun with friends in the evenings. We went with friends who were beginners and even had lessons and they enjoyed all of it.. even with the snow disappearing quickly. They did a brilliant job at managing the snow and the pistes when the snow was melting at the bottom to keep the routes open.

Cons: The food and restaurants are great but if you are looking for something more in the evening the location is quite remote. The rooms were quite warm which wouldn’t be a problem earlier in the season but as it warmed it we ended up sleeping with the balcony door open at night, we had 4 rooms over our group and everyone had the same issue. Even though there was a thermostat in the room it didn’t go below 20 degrees
