Very nice experience

Pros: Great service and owner engagement. Cosy hotel and great atmosphere.

Cons: We had the lowest budget room, which needs upgrading, but we understand program for refurbishment being prepared.

Cozy lodge on the Rondane scenic route

Pros: The lodge is in the middle of the beautiful Rondane scenic route, boarding Rondane national park. So it's in the nature, by a small river where you could swim or enjoy some canoeing. The young staff is extremely welcoming and nice. The place is warm and cozy, with a nice restaurant that we do recommend (also because everything else is quite far). We appreciated the traditional architecture and the nice picnic area by the river. Breakfast is great and the view and environment unbeatable. The room is small and simply furnished, but cozy and the bed is comfortable.

Cons: The bathroom is small and there is a shower tent.

Pros: Lovely location on the edge of the national park. Alas we were leaving first thing next morning and didn't have time to venture in. Good breakfast and packed lunch. Excellent fish soup and dessert.

Cons: Only a set menu available for supper which was quite expensive. No other options near by.

Pros: Nice rustic cabins, fits very well with the location of the park. Has a homely feel to it. Very friendly owner/staff, who made you feel welcome and looked after. Good home-cooked meal available on site

Here magic is real!

Pros: The welcome was very heartwarming and kind! The staff even made us a yummie breakfast-to-go when we left! The cabins however, we fell in love with! They were magical, as the location too! Everything was just perfect! One of my best stays ever, even if short!!!

Cozy cottage in Rondane

Pros: We were on a 2 nights stay to do some hiking in Rondane. We stayed in one of the small cottages, and it was perfect size for us 2 adults, baby and dog. Everything was clean and in working order, and the staff/owners were super nice. Since it was off season the main building was under renovation, and we unfortunately were not able to try the restaurant.

Cons: Nothing really. Maybe a small TV in the cottage for when the kids need to chill…
