Good hotel, needs some improvements

Pros: Waking distance from all major locations. Clean room.

Cons: Highly money minded. Charge NOK 300 for hiring umbrella for 48 hrs. Where ad a new one at Normal super stores costs NOK 37 only. Included breakfast was a limited plate and insufficient in quantity. Not even two slices of bread was given. Very surprising!

My go-to in Bergen

Pros: Stayed here last minute after another hotel in a different town went wrong. It was such a relief to know I could get the train to Bergen and feel secure in the fact that city box is clean and reliable. I love the no fuss check in, the high standard of cleanliness, and the extra amenities like the laundry room and the mini kitchen.

Nice place for a city visit

Pros: Excellent location, excellent WiFi. Simple, but functional room, super clean. I got a room with a great view.

Cons: The room could have been warmer, but this is a feature of any Bergen hotel I've stayed in, not particular to this one.

Pros: The best thing about the hotel is its location, very close to the train station and easy to reach all the important points of Bergen. Self check-in and check-out are very easy. It has a small dining area for guests where you can prepare fast food...with a machine to buy coffee and snacks. The room is small but the bed is comfortable and it has the essentials for a couple of days. You almost never have contact with the staff, but when I needed to ask for extra towels they helped me easily

Cons: Lack of cleanliness in the rooms...I stayed 4 nights and 5 days and they didn't clean the room even once...I think that's not hygienic, especially for the price you pay per night, it's not a budget hotel.

Great price for quality of hotel and location.

Pros: Quick check in. Communal areas are spacious, well decorated and clean. The bathroom was fresh and modern and had a spacious walk in shower and which was lovely and hot and high pressured. There is a radiator in the room which was amble to keep the room warm in -6c temps in January. Location is excellent, only 5 minutes walk to the train station, main trams and general centre of bergen. 10-15 minutes walk to the funicular railway and Bryggen.

Cons: Rooms are just a little on the small side (but this is stated in booking a small double room) but no issue for our 2 night stay and for the price. Would probably be more of an issue if staying for longer with 2 people in those rooms. Also no kettle for making your own hot drinks. There was a chargeable machine downstairs for coffee & hot chocolates though.
