Grand Hotel Terminus

Pros: Breakfast amazing, all in- american and european breakfast. The staff are really nice. The location is very good, and the rooms are clean. The Amundsen Bar is very cozy. The menu is not extensive, but you can even find a children’s menu.

Cons: During winter, the windows are not properly insulated, and the heaters are quite small for the size of the rooms. However, if you keep the curtains up and let the warmth come into the room, it will be okay. I appreciate that the towels were changed each day, but I do not consider it environmentally appropriate if they were not left on the floor.Even though I informed the reception on the first day, they did not inform the staff. However, it is not for me to decide.

Ideal place to stay with easy walking distance to the harbour and fenicular

Pros: Convenient Location next to bus and train station. Period features were a nice change from modern hotels.

I was delighted with my stay. I would most certainly go back.

Pros: I loved the hotel for me it beats the contemporary designs. Yes, it’s old but it has character, charm and ambience. The staff on the front desk were pleasant and most helpful. The chef is at the top of his game, the food/breakfast was just beautiful! The small cocktail bar was amazing as was the staff, my margarita was lovely.

Cons: Maybe the carpets/curtains could do with a freshen up.

Pros: Very welcoming. Clean and comfortable room with a nice view. Good breakfast. Well located - very easy to reach by train and just a few minutes per walk to the city centre.

Pros: Old style charm. History of the place including the famous arctic explorer Amondson. Right next to the railway station and shopping streets. Great staff. A proper hot breakfast, something that cannot be guaranteed in Norway. A place to leave your luggage if you are away. In fact you can tell from the photographs just what a fabulous place it is.

Cons: No tea making facilities in the room. You need to go to the ground floor for those facilities. This seems to be the norm for Norway mind!

Pros: Friendly staff, well connected to the city centre, regular and well done cleaning.

Cons: Nothing at all.

Great location, great breakfast, great staff but sort out the 5 am disturbances.

Pros: Close to Bergen Centre, railway terminal and Light railway stop for easy access from airport. Excellent breakfast, great gym and very friendly staff.

Cons: The horrendous racket outside the hotel at 5am on the morning of Wednesday 18th February with big bins being moved across the cobblestones. Not great when guests are sleeping.,

Pros: Excellent location for arrival and all restaurants / tourist spots Very helpful and friendly staff

Pros: Location was perfect, breakfast was outstanding, hotel was clean and well maintained, staff lovely and helpful, price was very reasonable for Scandenavia

Cons: Nothing to dislike

Very friendly staff, very warm and comfortable room, great location.

Pros: It was perfect for our needs, we chose to stay in the old hotel, fabulous building. We were catching a train the next morning and were very happy to find that our accommodation was but a stone's throw from the platform!

Cons: Nothing to say here.
