Eidfjord Hotel

Great place to stop during visiting Eidfjord by car

Pros: - location - parking available - delicious dinner - view on Fjord - clean - quite - WIFI - near the Vøringsfossen Waterfall

Cons: - breakfast was good, but it could have provided more options for self-service

Pros: The view, combined with the chill zone, was amazing. People are lovely too. Those make a place special; otherwise, it's a solid standard.

Great Location and Friendly Staff

Pros: I enjoyed the location of the hotel, and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was also very good.

Cons: During my stay there was a wedding at the hotel. This meant the restaurant was closed, which I only found out upon arrival. In addition, the party was held on the premises, and some guests were playing loud music and drinking outside in the parking area. Fortunately, this stopped before midnight, but it was still disruptive. It would have been helpful to be informed about such events in advance, and I think the hotel should enforce a rule about not having loud music outside at night. Lastly, the reception was only open until 8:30pm, so I wasn’t able to raise this issue with anyone at the time. Overall, the stay had many positives, but I think communication and guest comfort could be improved during special events.

Pros: The breakfast is perfect! The personnel are very kind. Clean rooms. The hotel has its own restaurant where we had dinner.

Pros: The staff was amazing:) We participated in the Norseman Triathlon and staff prepared some breakfast around 2am in the morning! The location is central in Eidfjord und very cute! 100% recommendation:)

Pros: The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent. While the building felt a little dated, everything was spotless and well maintained.

Cons: Both mattresses had sagging spots.

Pros: Location was nice, quiet,comfortable beds, decent breakfast, nice lounge to relax and read,beautiful view.

Cons: Restaurant dinner was not good, servers were attentive and kind but much too slow and the selection of only 3 dinner items is too limited, further,the food arrived cold, duck leg and vegetables all cold, not lukewarm. Breakfast was good, staff are all exceptional.

Pros: Clean, simple and just what we wanted. Good location and it was quiet

What we expected, though more pleasant and traditional

Pros: The dinner at the restaurant was really good and norwegian and, in particular, the waiter was so kind to menage to get me apple juice even though it was finished; really appreciated. The view from the room wasn’t on the fjord, but still on the terrace we could see everything and it was really good.

Cons: The bathroom was spacious but not very nice, and inside the restaurant and breakfast place the ac was on (i guess ‘cause we were freezing). The view wasn’t on the fjord and the mountains were a little bit covered by houses.
