Pros: Amazing view, friendly staff. Big and very clean room. And as a bonus there is a heated outdoor pool which provides a fantastic feeling after the sunset.

Great stay, superb hotel.

Pros: Really liked our stay here, some may say it s dated but it was very taken care of and clean and we loved it. Great spa and pool facilities, great restaurant and staff. We really loved the room and the view. Definitely a great place.

Cons: Beyond me how can a local cider made across the street is the same huge price as an Italian wine, we went for the wine in the end.

Beautiful location, nice spa. Exceptional buffet dinner and breakfast.

Excellent place to stay for visiting Hardangerfjord and surroundings

Pros: Extraordinary location on the shore of the fjord, with view toward the surrounding mountains on the opposite side. Vast facilities with balconies, decks and gardens where to relax. Astonishing swimming pool that we didn't have the chance to try for lack of time. Incredible breakfast and buffet dinner, with amazing choices. Passenger ferry stops just next door.

Cons: The soap dispenser in our room was empty. No tip for the maid.

Surprised renovation.

Pros: Second time visit here, I'll say the yard is one of the best spot of hardanger fjord. Renovated room is very clean and huge. Also with coffee/tea facilities and a fridge, which used to have none. Like it very much. Had three nights buffet dinner. The qarm dishes and pastries changed daily. Has a huge variety of seafood and pastries. Comparing to last time I visited, the food imporved a lot. But I do missed the harp live performance. The basement (ground floor) changed but still have a lot to explore. You can find lots of stories belonging to Edvard Grieg and history of this hotel there. There are also several seating area, each with different kinds of feeling. The atmosphere is fantastic. I tried playing my instrument in one of the area in a rainy day and love it.

Cons: The pool's temperature is too low for me. Both insisted and outside. But the adult pool area is fine. Just missed the fruit bloosom this year, and almost 3/3 raining days. Bad luck. Will be there againg and hope the luck turns to me.

Pros: The location is fabulous, as are the pools and sauna unfortunately we only saw it in the rain but even then it was wonderful.

Cons: Dinner with only the option of buffet was very limited. ....few bar options

Pros: Breakfast buffet was amazing, as were the hotel grounds and range of amenities.

Cons: The Jacuzzi and sauna were not warm enough, which after a long hike, was quite disappointing!

Pros: The suite was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was large and included a sauna.

Lovely hotel full of character and helpful staff we will return

Pros: Everything was perfect especially the water sports facilities, the excellent food and wonderful views.

Cons: rooms with no view is on the road. the hot swimming pool could be hotter. the dinner was expensive and not very tasty. it was a bit crowded with groups
