Wonderful Stay at Hardanger House

Pros: Hardanger House is ideally located for an exploration of the Hardangerfjord area. The room was very comfortable, and the view of the fjord from the room was lovely. Although it was low season, the hotel staff went above and beyond to provide us with a pescatarian breakfast, and dinner recommendations. We would definitely stay again.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: This is the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at. The room had a terrace that was no more than 20 feet from a little beach where we went swimming. The staff will turn on the sauna at your request. Takes a few minutes to heat. The staff were exceptionally accommodating. They gave us bikes which they prepared before we set off. We did the evening meal which was exceptional with smashing views of the sunset from the restaurant. We rushed the breakfast as we had to go for an activity at folgefonni which was a shame as it was delightful. Perfect stay all in all.

Cons: Not one single thing

Quiet luxury by the fjord.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable rooms. Loved the balcony with the fjord view! Dinner was great, and breakfast was absolutely brilliant. While there wasn't a huge selection, everything that was there was high quality.

Wish we had booked for longer

Pros: Wonderfully positioned accommodation on a beautiful fjord in small town in Hardanger. Good facilities and very comfortable. Great meals

Cons: Sauna seems underpowered - did not get very hot. There is nowhere to enter the fjord water to swim after sauna - just rather slippery rocks. Worth considering establishing somewhere to dive in from and a ladder or similar to get out

Lovely, independent boutique hotel in a gorgeous location.

Pros: Fabulous food, attentive and friendly service, character, charm and a beautiful location. We loved our stay here. Special thanks to Marta and Marita who were super helpful and friendly.

Cons: Lack of tea, milk for coffee, or water in the room (though water was given when we asked for it).

Pros: Great staffs and service. Very good dinner, nice and modern rooms. Perfect location for glacier activities! Highly recommend this hotel.

Extraordinary Luxury Experience

Pros: Hardanger House is an exceptional place. Everything was extraordinary, great attention to details. The food was the best that I've ever had in Norway! They have an excellent chef, great wine and whiskey choices. Friendly and genuinely sincere staff. Top notch, HIGHLY recommended.

Cons: It would be nice if sauna had a view to / exit to the fiord

Tres bel établissement

Pros: Très bel hôtel, tout est très propre et neuf. Et la vue est formidable.

Cons: Malheureusement le restaurant était fermé et il n’y en a pas d’autres aux alentours.
