Rosendal Fjordhotel

Absolutely excellent!!!! 10/10 recommend! It is 1000% worth upgrading for the sea view room!

Pros: The rooms with a sea view were absolutely incredible and definitely worth the upgrade!!! The sauna is also SOOOO worth it!! Most relaxed, peaceful and calm i have felt in a long time. We did some local hikes, and returning to the sea view room, was a magical experience! So calm.

Cons: I wish the sauna hour was was longer! If I went again, I would book for two hours instead of 1!

Pros: Great location on the fjord in a valley among the mountains. Free parking, balcony with a wonderful view of the Hardangerfjord and the garden. Comfortable bed. Excellent and tasty breakfasts, thanks to the restaurant staff. Walking distance to the city center of Rosendal with restaurants, shopping center and main attractions

Cons: There was no air conditioning in the room, it was very hot and stuffy. There was no towel for feet after shower in the bathroom

Wonderful hotel in beautiful surroundings

Pros: What really makes this hotel stand out is the beautiful location, and their renowned chef, which made a delicious tree course dinner. Breakfast is also wonderful. That the director of the hotel walked around to make sure all the dinner guests were comfortable made us feel very welcome.

A Nordic Jewel on the Hardanger Fjord.

Pros: Every aspect of our stay at the Rosendal Fjordhotel was exceptional. Beate and the entire team were stars, in reserving a beautiful room for us which faced the Hardanger Fjord. The management shines in all aspects too. The restaurant is phenomenal, and the newly renovated rooms and suites are fantastic. Thank you so much for making our visit to Norway extra special. We will most certainly be back.

Pros: Lovely traditional breakfast with lots of local specialities. The view from both sides is breathtaking!

Cons: A little bit pricey but it’s worth it.

Pros: Restaurant and front area are very nice, beautiful sunset to watch from this area.

Cons: Rooms are a bit old-fashioned. Bed is not a proper double bed, it’s 2 single beds put together.

Great stay in a beautiful setting

Pros: Friendly, comfortable room, good breakfast. Tea and coffee always available at no cost. I had been staying as part of the festival package and booked two extra nights on booking.com transition was seamless and I stayed in the same room. It was my second time staying at the hotel. Will be back for the Rosendal chamber music festival next year

Cons: The only thing I can think is the evening menu was limited and, being Norway, was fairly expensive. This is probably to cut down on food waste when there aren’t many guests staying. Food was well prepared though and the service was fine

Beautiful views. Pleasant stay with a lovely dinner.

Pros: The location of the property is just beautiful, right on the waters edge and the fjord balcony rooms are stunning. The rooms were generally lovely and the on site restaurant was very pleasant. The restaurant also were very kind in providing us with a glass of bubbly on the house as we were staying whilst on our honeymoon.

Cons: The rooms were perhaps a little dated?
