Nice hotel surrounded by beautiful landscapes

Pros: Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nature. The hotel is wooden-made and has some beautiful Norwegian details. Friendly staff and tasty breakfast.

Cons: Dinner was not so good and too expensive, definitely not worht the price.

Pros: The place with nice history and very friendly people working there!! Rooms clean, breakfast good with many options to choose from. Even if you arrive later, you can still use the sauna, which is not the newest but works just fine.

Overall, a fabulous experience. Would love to come back

Pros: Great location, lovely vibe and an old world charm.

Cons: Maybe a kettle in the room would help for an early morning coffee !! Although coffee is available in the dining room after 7.30am 😊

Best hotel in whole Norway!

Pros: Easily the best hotel I’ve been to throughout whole Norway. Super friendly staff, the wonderful libraries with many Norwegian books, the amazing jazz and blues music. The well executed buffet. Must go here if you’re in the area!

Pros: We loved this hotel. The timber decor is warm and inviting and most unusual. The history of the hotel is displayed in photographs and we enjoyed the owner's stories when showing them to us. He also gave us time and valuable advice when planning our road trip. The dining room staff were helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was extensive. Dinner was good. Super location to explore the hills and fjords.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Great location, beautiful interior and value for price. The reception and bar staff were very polite, welcoming and friendly. The breakfast staff could try being more friendly and polite to match the other staff in my opinion. Overall the hotel is gorgeous and worth trying.

Charming Historic Gem

Pros: Phenomenal staff, especially during dinner—service was top-notch! The food was delicious, and the 120-year-old, family-run hotel is beautifully maintained with charming, tasteful decor. Highly recommend!

Cons: No complaints, just two notes for travelers: it’s a well-kept historic treasure, not a modern 5-star, which adds to its charm. Also, it’s a bit remote, but attractions like Dalsnibba, Geiranger, nearby hiking trails, and ski slopes are easily accessible.

Unexpectedly charming

Pros: The friendly staff, well above standards and expectations. Good value for money. Half board worthy and excellent location for goods hikes and road routes. Rooms with lake and Mountain views are superb.

Cons: Everything was great
