Pros: The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast catered for every taste and diet and was plentiful. The lounge area was cosy.

Cons: Nothing available to eat or drink as bistro and bar closed - not what you expect from a city hotel. The booking process was an issue - I booked through KLM link to booking.com and booked a room with an ensuite ( never choose anything less!) the booking came back as no ensuite bathroom! Even when shown a screen shot of the booking we are told that we would be allocated a bathroom if the room was available. Had they changed the booking immediately to what we had actually booked we would have stayed another 2 nights at the end of our trip so right up until check in we did not know if we would have a private bathroom so we were not happy clients

Very cosy weekend, nice place, nice breakfast and nice people

Pros: The room was bigger than expected. We travel with 8 month old and love the space, the location close to city center and the comfort and nice atmosphere.

Cons: Just happy :)

Excellent city break

Pros: Very spacious room, central location, very good value for money for Norway

Cons: On last day maid took dirty towels and forgot to leave clean ones which I didn't realise until I got out of the shower naked at about midnight!

Sufficiently comfortable.

Pros: There exists a family room with 3 beds. Wonderful breakfast and a very good location to the harbor. The hotel offers lunchbox service from the breakfast food. It was also helpful.

Cons: A room itself is a little small to open 3 suitcases but no problem. If there is a bathtub, better.

Central location, good room, great breakfast.

Pros: Central location, large room, pleasantly furnished and decorated in an explicitly Scandinavian style - not the usual boring, international hotel-style. A comfortable, old-fashioned hotel style with character. Lovely central lobby. The breakfast is one of the best we ever experienced, even by Scandinavian standards. It pushes the general evaluation over the line, from a seven to an eight. Busy at certain times but, in contrast to what some have said, there is plenty of room. There is for instance a side-room that might have been overlooked by some.

Cons: A minor point: The reception was a little confused when we arrived, and one of the two receptionists was not professionally friendly. The initial reception is important in hotels, it is the first contact with the customer. And in many instances nowadays maybe the only personal contact with the guest?

It was great stay in central location of Bergen city centre. The hotel is close to everything .

Pros: We stay in spacious family room with plenty of space for 3 of us. We love the big windows but it wasn’t noisy at all even our room was facing the street . The bath room is also spacious with heated floor.

Cons: None

Excellent location for everything in Bergen

Pros: Location is excellent - we arrived late evening on ferry from Flam, and it was just a very short walk from Strandkai to the hotel. It was also quite close to the light rail terminus, which we took to the airport on departure. It is also a very short walk into the city centre, and to a number of good restaurants. The room itself was quite large, with a window to an inner courtyard, and block-out curtains to keep out the early-morning summer sun. Beds were comfortable, and there was a desk and sofa, and a kettle to make tea and coffee. Breakfast was also excellent, with an extensive range of foods and beverages, although it was very crowded at times. Overall, a pleasant stay and we would be happy to return.

Cons: We had some difficulty adjusting the air conditioning; our room was a little warm unless we opened the window. The stay was quite expensive; of the 11 hotels we stayed at on this trip (all similar standard, and including Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm) this was the most expensive on a per night basis. Perhaps this is just Bergen ?
