Voss Mountain Lodge

It was an unforgettable experience

Pros: We arrived very late that day, but even so, the hotel staff were still waiting for us. When they found out we hadn't eaten yet, they found us a large loaf of bread and let us use the kitchen to fry some eggs—they were truly warm, friendly, and thoughtful. The hotel is located on a mountain, and the view we saw the next morning left a deep impression on us: the mountains stood tall and majestic in the morning light, while the stream rushed and roared. The air was incredibly fresh, sweet and refreshing to breathe. If we have the chance, we will definitely return to this hotel and stay for a few more nights. Once again, thank you to the young staff at the hotel for their wonderful service!

If you don't mind the long windy road to get there it is a picturesque and charming place

Pros: We came on motorcycles and really enjoyed the road up to the lodge. The scenery was amazing and the road was challenging but fun. We loved the all wood furnishings in the lodge and the staff were very friendly.

Pros: The room, the kindness of the staff, the common spaces, the dinner

Cons: The Trail from the train stop is steep and slippery, I had no problem with a backpack, but it is difficult if you have a trolley

Great value for money!

Pros: Very friendly staff, easy check in, clean and beautiful location.

Cons: The drive was very bumpy (but they did mention this in the description) and the pool wasn’t filled up.

Pros: Breakfast was quite good, both variety and quality were good.

Cons: The only negative point was that the sauna did not work well and temperature was quite low.

Pros: Voss Mountain Lodge was a lovely place and we could enjoy authentic Norwegin cabin life there. The room was warm since we could control heating in the room. Kitchen had everything we needed , including microwave(it was the first microwave we saw in norway hotel/bnb). Lodge was clean and comfortable. Staff was so kind; Jacob and the boys were all really helpful and helped us with luggages. Jacob was always smiling and he was the kindest person we’ve seen! Lol Also, the other boys are 🤝🤝 The dining place and main room were so cozy; many family were there playing cards eating dinner and enjoying themselves. We hope we can visit the lodge again!

Pros: Warm welcome and beautiful location! You can join for the dinner of the day, we were lucky to have pizza night!

Cons: Mind that when coming with train it's a short but steep and mountainous walk down, including a river crossing which with moderate to heavy rain might be a bit challenging to cross. But that's an adventure in itself!

We had a great stay. Enjoyed the location and the helpfulness of staff.

Pros: Friendly staff, great location, lovely hostel. My daughter loved having the dogs around. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner when we dined. Good coffee too.

Cons: It felt like the showers and toilets weren’t cleaned daily. The kitchen area could have its tea towel changed daily and only 1 bowl in the cupboard. Evening meal was great but expensive.

Pros: The road is very comfortable with beautiful view of natur and clean environment . We as family Chiragwandi strongly recommended to visit the Voss Mountain Lodge, very good hospitality from the owner Thomas and the staff especially Matus.

Pros: The hotel itself was good, but I expected Booking to offer me hotels that are close to Flåm, but it was a bit far.

Cons: The road to the hotel, especially at night!
