This family-run hotel is located in the ski resort of Geilo, 350 metres from the Vestlia slopes. It offers a traditional restaurant and rooms with views of the Ustedalen Fjord. Each room at Ustedalen Hotell Geilo features a work desk and satellite TV. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and underfloor heating. Simple but good and close to the slopes!

Pros: The room is nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is very close to one of the skilifts, and there is also a shuttle bus that stops just outside.

Cons: The pool and sauna area is not very well planned out in terms of changing rooms etc., and was not very clean.

Hotel restaurant food was very good.

Pros: Good location. Fabulous views. Underground parking facilities. Modern aspect.

Cons: The bath and shower setup in our wet room was very poorly designed and did not function properly

Large modern apartment room, with great breakfast

Pros: Free upgrade to nice big modern apartment. Very nice breakfast, with amazing view over the lake. 600 m walk to nearest ski lift, or a 2 minute bus ride. Big, light, warm ski room to sort gear.

Cons: No significant dislikes, but a few warnings: 1) If you're on the back of the building, the railway is only 30 m away, with a couple of trains early in the night. (If you're a light sleeper, ask / pay for a lake view). 2) Be warned that there are several different blocks, so at -25C one had to dress up reasonably well for the walk to reception / restaurant. 3) There is a small charge for the pool or sauna.

Pros: Excellent, with parking in the building's basement.

Cons: There was no shower screen or curtain, so the water spread across the whole bathroom floor after each shower.

Very comfortable room, great breakfast and nice to have sauna and pool

Pros: Lovely hotel, very comfortable room with good facilities. Great breakfast and enjoyed using the pool and sauna.

Cons: Not much within walking distance but hotel had everything you needed.

Pros: *Outstanding views from our accommodation *Brilliant variety at Brekfast *Generally very peaceful accommodation *comfortable and warm *Shops and restaurants a little walk away

Cons: *Not the fault of the hotel, but very noisy kids in the pool means that it wasn't very relaxing. The receptionist did advise us so, which was kind.

Good bed and breakfast in an awesome location

Pros: Or room was small, but cozy and with a good view to the mountain. Bathroom had a heated floor and a bathtub. Breakfast was really good. Ski bus stops just outside and takes you to the both slopes. There is also an OK pool and a gym (though very limited). All in all - good value for money.

Cons: There is a kitchenette in the room, but there were no dishes or utensils. Having in mind that there are so many electric cars, hotel should invest in the charging stations. The nearest one is 1km away. Not a big deal, but still :)
