Pros: Love-love-love this place! Amazing location with best host Astrid. Spotless clean bathrooms and kitchen, enough space for everyone, little grocery store just few steps away, all information about activities and events nearby. 10 out of 10

Pros: My rental car broke down during my stay. The host, a warm and beautiful lady, helps me by contacting insurance company, lending my family bikes to carry on my glacier hiking plan and taking care of my car fixing. The two pretty ladies in reception are also considerate and help us a lot. We are so lucky to stay in such a friendly place and everything is settled down at last. The extraordinary experience we will never forget. Thank you three angles!

Excellent shared facilities with a central location providing great access to the glaciers

Pros: We really appreciated the well-equipped shared kitchen at Jostedal Camping, which offered a great view of the river right outside the window. The shared bathrooms were excellent, with lovely showers providing great water pressure and a consistently nice and hot temperature. Great central location for exploring glaciers.

Cons: The main drawback was the awkward configuration of the cabin, where the table was positioned between the beds, making them difficult to access. We ended up temporarily rearranging the table for better bed access, putting it back in its original spot before checking out.

We will come back!

Pros: Astrid is the best receptionist you will ever meet. She will give you super helpful tips and is such a polite and positive lady. The cabin we rent was great and the whole place is perfectly situated!

Pros: This place is amazing!! It's the perfect spot für nature lovers and for a real norwegian experience. The lady who owns the place is super friendly, very kind and helps you with all the questions you have. She can give recommendations about the things to do in this area and she definitely lives for her job. I can only recommend this place!!

Pros: I stayed in a basic hut and the facilities were exactly as I expected for this type of accommodation in Norway (basic bed, shared bathroom etc.). My comments are based on this kind of accommodation and not a luxury hotel. I was ski mountaineering and the location was great for this. It was sunny and warm when I was there during the day and the outside space was nice to come back to. The communal kitchen was well set up (remember you need your own plates and utensils). The owner is a well-travelled local who is incredibly knowledgeable on the local activities and high mountain routes. She was great to talk to and I think most guests seemed to be finding things to talk to her about. I would give her 11 out of 10!

Cons: If I was to improve one thing it would be that a drying room would have been useful in winter/wet weather. A simple shed with hangers, a little heat, and a dehumidifier is all that is required; but these are almost never present in Norway (weird given the climate and activities that people pursue) and I cannot criticise this camping alone. On this occasion I didn't need it (warm outside with a lot of space to dry equipment and clothing). It's good to be aware that the local village shop closes relatively early if you require supplies (food etc.). This is normal in a small village in Norway, if you're reading this now you know and you can plan accordingly!

Fantastic stay amidst nature.

Pros: This was our first camping site after leaving Bergen. Astrid manages the property and is a lovely lady. She helped us with everything we needed even though it was a little late in the evening. The campsite is very near to the glacier and offers mesmerising views.

Pros: I appreciated the following: very good service, very helpful staff, the location is fantastic, and everything was clean and fresh, wonderfully quiet at the very beginning of the season. Another year I will come back in late summer or fall to be able to hike in the mountains more.
