Chesterfield Hotel

Pros: I would rate my stay as excellent – the price is very reasonable considering the facilities and the location of the property. The room was equipped with a hairdryer, a private bathroom, a TV, WIFI, and a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. It was also warm inside. Breakfast in the morning was truly delicious, with a wide selection of products and freshly fried eggs. In the evening, we could enjoy traditional Norwegian waffles, which were also included in the price. The lady making the waffles was so kind and lovely! Overall, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located right in the city center, so we didn’t have to waste any time commuting – a huge plus! Usually, when traveling, we are on our feet all day and treat the hotel only as a place to sleep. Here, it was different – we could return at any time and relax in the room while watching the Winter Olympics. The hotel exceeded our expectations and we will definitely come back.

Cons: The only downside was that water splashed all over the floor while taking a shower. A longer shower curtain or at least a squeegee would have been very useful. So remember to take slippers with you :)

Pros: Our stay was exactly as described in the offer, and we have no complaints. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast was tasty and filling, and the afternoon waffles were also a very nice touch. A major advantage of the hotel is its excellent location — about 5 minutes from the railway station, 5 minutes from the main bus stops, and around 10 minutes’ walk from the very center of Trondheim. Thank you for a pleasant stay. We would gladly recommend this hotel.

It was everything I was looking for at a good price

Pros: It was a great location .. near the railway station and close to the town square …. clean and comfortable . And good value for money

Cons: Nothing serious .. in Australia hotel rooms have a small fridge which is nice but I understand that doesn’t happen in Europe. .. the shower as small but that’s no real issue

If I can come back to Trondheim, I want to stay here again.

Pros: There’s always people can help you about everything. Coffee and tea is free and they have a waffle times every evening. Also their breaktast is awesome.

Excellent value for prime location

Pros: One might describe the Chesterfield decor and furnishings as a little dated and worn, but it has so much character. The hotel reception has a really welcoming vibe, the staff are super-friendly, and the location is perfect: just a short walk from the Nidaros, main square and railway station. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep, and it's a really comfortable, cosy place to relax. Free waffles and a great breakfast are a bonus!

Great stay

Pros: Room was comfortable and good size and location was perfect for getting to all sights easily and quick to get to train station. Breakfast had a good selection. Staff were great and friendly and were able to assist with booking me in for an extra night when Storm Amy struck and train travel was postponed by a day.

Cons: Room overlooked main street and party revellers were noisy over the weekend.
