Wonderful Experience in Kvitfjell
Pros: Beautiful hotel and location. Essential ski facilities such as ski passes, equipment rental and clothing shop, ski lesson booking all within the bounds of the hotel. In fact its all downstairs!!! The staff were amazing, extraordinarily helpful and polite, the concierge went above and beyond to sort out any issues. (They helped me contact emergency dentists and arranged transport to track surgeries down). The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. There was soup and bread available during the day. I particularly loved the forest mushroom soup. The room was big and comfortable, everything felt cosy. The ski slopes are well looked after, there are a range of lifts taking you to different parts of the resort. Barely any queuing and the slopes are not overcrowded. I'm not an experienced skier but there were more than enough routes to challenge me as my confidence grew over the week. The restaurant at Varden is stunning and the Mett has lots of lunch options.
Cons: Limited places to eat in the evening during the week, usually the restaurant. Sometimes you just want something simpler! There is a grocery shop by the children's slope and more on the west side of the mountain, and you can always drive to Favang to the supermarket or even take a taxi.

Excellent ski stay
Pros: Family ski trip, hotel is right by the piste and halfway up the mountain, ski shop and ski hire in same complex on levels below the hotel. Good breakfast and standard of food in buffet and a La carte was generally high. Reception desk staff very helpful. swim pool was busy but nice.
Cons: Changing room for pool was a little chaotic at peak times and too many children coming and going from the sauna….door being opened the whole time…..really prevents the sauna actually being a sauna!! it was of course uk half term….

Wonderful location
Pros: This is a fantastic location, situated right on the slopes with ski-in/ski-out access, hotels has ski locker room on the ground floor. The staff is welcoming, and the rooms are nice with comfortable beds. Fresh water is always available in the lobby. The breakfast is very good, and there is a delicious three-course dinner offered from 6-9pm. The spa area is enjoyable, and the sauna is located in the changing rooms for both men and women.
Cons: The door which leads to the ski locker room doesn't open from outside when you come from the slopes and you need to go through the sport shop with the snowy equipment.

Ideal for those wanting to combine Cross country and downhill skiing.
Pros: The hotel is very clean, beds are extremely comfortable, buffet food is high quality, staff are friendly and efficient. Very quiet rooms, we had no disturbance at all. Swimming pool also fine for the size of the hotel as is the small gym. The ski room has lockers and opens out directly onto the slopes just above the day cafe and ski hire - also both efficient and friendly. The station is 2 hrs 15 mins direct from the airport with 4 to 5 trains per day - very comfortable trains with good luggage space. It is a 20 minute uphill drive from the station.
Cons: It is important to be aware that there are not many other facilities in Kvitfjell. There is no cashpoint although there is a small supermarket. The booking might indicate that transport is included, it is not - although this was not a surprise to us at the cost. The transfer can be booked via the hotel to pick up from Kvitfjell station - the local company were very efficient. Payment can be either in exact cash or by invoice.

Pros: Everything. in particular, I was astonished at the pool – it’s size and beauty. The fact that the weather is also perfect made short, stay beautiful. We will be back next February for a few days. Can you tell me is it best to book direct with you/the hotel and if so can you give me an email address please?
