Phillipshaugen Lodge

We stay only one night, but definitely it worth spend several days.

Pros: Building with impressive history, fully renovated. Attractive classical design inside with furniture. Very clean. Kitchen equipped with all necessary stuff. Big territoty around to walk.

A comfortable and cosy stay, we left feeling super relaxed!

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at Phillipshaugen. Our host was so welcoming and attentive, telling us about the history of the hotel and making sure we had everything we needed. Our room had the most beautiful view of the valley and an extremely comfortable bed. We enjoyed relaxing in the communal lounge with the log fire in the evening and were very satisfied with the delicious breakfast spread which included delicious waffles and the best cup of tea we've found in Norway so far!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The accommodation was adequate for the price. We were satisfied - nice cottage close to the good freeride skiing tours with a nice view. Everything is heard in a wooden cottage, so it is important to maintain a quiet night. The accommodation staff was helpful and pleasant.

Phillipshaugen - what's not to like ?

Pros: Phillipshaugen is one of those magic places you should not miss out. We stayed in the spacious cottage, which provided ample space to dry out wet motorcycle gear. A fully equipped kitchen and other amenities made this stay worth noting. The scenery at Philipshaugen is magic and anyone staying there should take time to just 'watch the paint dry' outside... The team at Phillipshaugen goes out of their way to accommodate their guests. You immediately feel at home.

Pros: Beautiful location, wonderful people. Tranquil and relaxing. Made us feel at home and they were in no rush for us to leave, even making coffee long after the leaving time.

If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful and beautiful escape this is the perfect place.

Pros: The lodge itself looks even more beautiful in real life. The room was stunning with an amazing view to the surrounding mountains. It was clean, warm, cosy and had a “home” feeling. The whole experience from arriving, to staying and leaving was great! Jon and Adrian were super accommodating and helpful, giving us a personal tour of the property and surrounding history. The hiking trails were spectacular. We cannot thank both of them enough for the awesome experience and will definitely come back again.

Pros: Great Location with historic atmosphere and very cosy. we enjoyed delicious dinners with an open fire place. Service was perfect!

Een prachtig romantisch hotel, in schitterende natuur en charme van vroeger, met de comfort van nu.

Pros: Een fantastische, romantische lokatie met een geweldige gastheer die ons vorstelijk onthaalde toen we na een lange reis aankwamen. De keuken was al dicht, maar hij toverde toch nog iets heerlijks voor ons op tafel. Hier komen we heel graag weer terug.

Cons: Wij vonden het niet erg, maar je deelt de badkamer met andere gasten, dat is even wennen, maar er is voldoende keuze. De badkamers zijn prima en schoon, maar in verhouding tot de rest een beetje out dated.

An exceptional stay. Made even better by an exceptional host.

Pros: Hugo, the Inn Keeper, was maybe the best host we've ever experienced. He made us feel so incredibly welcome and was full of suggestions about where to go and drives to take. We cooked our own dinner in the kitchen provided in the annex building but he invited us over to the main lodge to eat it in the lovely main room and set a beautiful table for us, offering and pouring an excellent bottle of wine (we bought 2, it was so good) and surprising us with waffles for dessert. Breakfast was a plentiful spread with many options from yogurt/granola to cold cuts and fruit. Lots more than that. All super fresh and beautifully presented. And when we said goodbye he sent us off with warm waffles for the road.

Cons: Nothing! Everything was spectacular.

Pros: Beliggenheten er jo makeløs med flott utsikt og skogens ro. Hovedbygget er jo preget av gammel historie og frokosten ble nytt i en staselig gammel stue.

Cons: Jeg kunne selvfølgelig ønsket med toalett på rommet, måtte gå 30 m på natta, men skjønner at det ikke er gjennomførbart:)
