Superb location, lovely big rooms and super staff

Pros: Very friendly welcome and helpful staff. Lovely traditional and quirky hotel

Cons: Creaky floorboards at night overhead but what can you expect from traditional wood-built construction?

Good hotel with old world charm in the centre of Bergen

Pros: A 'quirky' hotel with plenty of old-world charm. Sloping walls and wood make this hotel living history! The building is in the same location as the Hanseatiske museum, which is being renovated, but in a great location in the centre of Bergen and easy walking to shops and restaurants. Rooms are a great size, beds comfrtable and the renovated modern bathrooms are a bonus.

Pros: Everything was so efficient, very friendly and a super comfortable bedroom. Great breakfast too. Make sure you book a bedroom not giving out on the street because of the club noise on Thursday Friday and Saturday...

Cons: Please form a collective association to limit the abusive noise of the discotheque/ club nearby. Its antisocial music till 3 am is obviously tolerated by the council and authorities because of corruption.... It's shocking Bergen allows this behaviour.

Location, Location, Location was excellent and staff freindly and helpful

Pros: The Location was excellent and a freindly and help staff within this quaint and friendly hotel, if ever in Bergen again I would have no hesitation of staying their again. Location to Fjord cruise and ferries is very handy and luggage sotrage was easy for the early check out to make booked day trips

Cons: No real comments for this section

Utter perfection.

Pros: The older part of the hotel is true Norwegian traditional style. The location couldn't be better!

Cons: This time my room was at the front of the hotel facing the old Kjott Bazar, which is now a restaurant that has loud music seemingly all day and well past midnight. Not the hotel's fault!

Pros: What an incredible building – an old Hanseat merchants' warehouse from the 1700s converted to a hotel. It is a beautiful retrofit, proper quirky, and great location only 15 mins from train station but basically on the harbour. Interior was stunning (amazing bathroom) and breakfast was very good. Would totally recommend.

Cons: Liked it all.
