Hofslund Fjord Hotel

Perfect location and facilities - very rustic hotel.

Pros: Location was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable - the decor was also great.

Cons: Breakfast was a little poor - for vegetarians

Lovely older style hotel in a great location

Pros: This is a very comfortable hotel in a lovely location right by the fjord. The bed was very comfortable - we had one of the best nights sleep here of our trip. The hotel is an older hotel and has that old charm feel about it. It has a lovely lounge with views across the fjord where you can sit in the evening and enjoy a drink. We had a room that opened right onto the garden and across the garden you are straight out onto the walkway by the fjord. Breakfast was good with some tasty local cheeses and a good choice - not a huge choice but perfectly adequate. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

Pros: We had such a great stay here! Originally we booked for one night but ended up staying two thanks to Vegard’s advice (so we could head out early to Bergen the next morning). Vegard was amazing: super helpful with all our questions, and he even went out of his way to figure things out for us. The hotel itself is spotless, in a beautiful setting, and the room was perfect. The bed was seriously one of the best we’ve slept in. Pool: great. Breakfast: great. Everything: great. Honestly, it all added up to a really relaxing experience and we’re glad we stayed longer. Highly recommend! And extra thanks again to Vegard for making our stay even better!

The stay was perfect

Pros: The breakfast was good. There is a pretty nice pool outside. Very stylish atmosphere inside the hotel in an old expensive style.

Cons: The hotel's age is slightly noticeable.

Pros: Very comfortable and cozy hotel at a very nice location. Exzellent breakfaste!

A charming historic hotel

Pros: The hotel is set in beautiful, historic and picturesque surrounds on the fjord. Our room was very spacious, very comfortable and the bathroom was large, bright and modern. We had the balcony fjord view room with large windows, outdoor seating and a comfortable, large sofa to lounge on to admire the breathtaking view. It was a very nice room. The hotel is close to eateries, supermarkets, electric car recharging station and shopping centre.

Cons: There is no coffee or tea provided in the room or no communal coffee station in the lounge so it is not included in the cost of the room. There is no lift. There is no hotel restaurant for dinner.

Pros: Beautiful location on the fjord, nice room, good breakfast

Cons: Privacy: shared garden has direct view into room

Lovely hotel and fabulous location, if you can upgrade to have views of the fjord, worth the money!

Pros: Wonderful location, we had a suite overlooking the fjord, outstanding! The breakfast was lovely and we hired bikes for a couple of hours which we enjoyed.

Beautiful stay in a lovely hotel right on the fjord with spectacular.

Pros: The location was fabulous. View from our room was spectacular. Parking at the hotel was easy with 4 EV charging stations available. The pool was heated and you could also swim in the fjord from a jetty in front of the hotel. Extra towels were available to use while swimming. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had while travelling staff friendly and helpful. No dinner at hotel but nice restaurant right across the road. Would no hesitate to recommend or stay again.

Cons: It was all good

A comfortable stay in a beautifully sited location.

Pros: Absolute exquisite location overlooking the Fjord. Room had been refurbished, especially the bathroom. Breakfast in a spacious dining room was more than adequate.

Cons: Seemed to be short-staffed, especially on Reception. Parking was very congested once all guests arrived. Facilities consistent with a 3*.
