Pros: nice selections for breakfast. the green garden restaurant was nicely laid out, the outside space was well thought out
Cons: There's not much the hotel can do about it, but the car park associated with the hotel is very cramped and quite expensive at 250 NKr/day. It adds a lot to the cost of the stay.

Sensational, Elegant Hotel
Pros: The hotel is sensational. Elegant, calm, exquisitely designed with a meticulous attention to detail. The entrance welcomes you into a stunning lobby. The check in process was swift and professional. We stayed at room 204. Absolutely lovely and met all expectations. The Green Garden area where we had breakfast and an evening meal provided a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious and very well presented. Staff were very profressional, helpful, and friendly. Just the perfect hotel to stay and located in the centre of town.
Cons: There was nothing about this hotel to dislike. It is perfect!

Pros: This hotel from our trip felt the most Nordic. The interior, colours, finishings are exceptional and probably the comfiest hotel we stayed in during our trip. The staff were fantastic, very informative and helpful. location is brilliant with car parking near by. Very relaxed atmosphere in restaurant/bar area. Breakfast was brilliant. Alesund is a beautiful place with great walks and the viewpoint not far from the hotel. Would highly recommend if staying in Alesund to book hotel 1904.
Cons: Nothing, hotel surpassed our expectations.

Charming and Comfortable Stay at Hotel 1904
Pros: Located just a 5-minute walk from the ferry port, Hotel 1904 was a delightful place to stay. The interior decor was absolutely stunning—modern, tasteful, and incredibly pleasing to the eye. The overall comfort of the room and common areas made the experience even better. The staff were polite and professional, though there was minimal interaction during my stay. Still, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stylish and convenient base in the area.
Cons: The only downside during my stay at Hotel 1904 was the bathroom setup. There was no hook or rack near the shower to hang a bath towel, which made it slightly inconvenient—especially since the nearby ledge was already occupied by the hairdryer. This seems to be a common oversight in many hotels but would be an easy and welcome improvement. Additionally, the body wash bottle was left on the shower floor, as there wasn’t enough space to hang it with the other two bottles inside the stall. This could be difficult to reach, particularly for older guests or those with limited mobility.

Nice hotel in a traditional historic building with modern facilities.
Pros: Nice hotel in a traditional historic building with modern facilities. The hotel is very central located. We stayed at a junior suite that was very roomy, well equipped and nicely decorated. Breakfast was nice, and staff welcoming. The only thing that could be better was the parking facilities - they have one close by, but out of the hotel facilities.
Cons: Walking to the parking, outside the hotel.

Fabulous location and excellent breakfast, really liked this hotel.
Pros: Excellent location, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful reception staff. There was a kettle in the room. Clean modern interior in a traditional building. Access to free car parking. Would recommend this hotel.
Cons: A few small annoying design faults, they needed to have put in bigger shower screen and better towel hanging facility.
