Clean , comfortable hostel with great staff close to buses ( every 10 mins).

Homely, everything you would need

Pros: I liked everything in this hostel, it is super clean, modern, in the middle of a mountain but with a super nice connection to the city and a supermarket 1 minute away. Everything you would need for having a comfortable stay, including a big citchen, common areas, good wifi, staff that is super nice and attentive and planned hikes and other things from the very open and kind volunteers.

Pros: One of the best hostels I have stayed at in the world. Breakfast was decent considering the overall price I paid. The view in the backyard was spectacular, besides the hostel is located in a tranquil local neighbourhood and right at the beginning of a hiking trail leading to the highest mountain in Bergen, Ulriken.

Pros: Great staff. Good idea for snack time in the common area to meet people. Excellent location to watch fireworks over the whole city.

Cons: The pillows used are uncomfortable. Beds closest to doors are not great when someone enters the room or uses the bathroom. Curtains would really help.

Cons: I would like the breakfast time to start half an hour earlier, getting the morning flights, you have no chance for breakfast

Cosy, great views, lovely staff

Pros: This was one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at in ages! The bunkroom’s bathroom was exceptionally clean, the breakfast was delish with gluten and lactose free options, and the views from every window were incredible. I thought it’d be slightly more walkable to the city centre (it took about 50min downhill) but there was a bus stop very close by that runs regularly and goes straight to the centre.

Cons: The pillows were literally lumpy, which didn’t ruin my sleep but was annoying. I ended up using my coat as a pillow.
