Overvoll Farm

Pros: There are places you stumble upon by accident, and they steal your heart instantly. This is one of those places. But in truth, it’s not just about the place itself – it’s about the person who gives it its soul. Kristin is amazing. Her hospitality, kindness, warmth, sense of humor, and openness to others – we felt it right away. The aromas from her kitchen are pure poetry! If you love wooden floors, a place with character, and the feeling of being welcomed with open arms – don’t hesitate, just go there!

Pros: Incredible host that is also a very skillful and creative chef. Be sure to include breakfast and dinner during your stay! The setup of the farm is perfect to meet and connect with fellow travelers who are exploring this beautiful part of Norway.

Beautiful farmhouse in a stunning setting.

Pros: A beautiful traditional farmhouse located in a stunning setting. Had a lovely welcome by the wonderful host, loved seeing the goats. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, much from the garden and so tasty, the surrounding fjords took your breath away, so much to see and good hiking. We stayed 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer!

Cons: Nothing it was perfect

Pros: A special experience, thanks to the host who created unforgettable memories for us. Impeccable cleanliness, excellent menu prepared mostly from ingredients that were picked from the own farm, so it can't be fresher than that. The bed was very comfortable, special nature. Kristin, thank you for everything, don't change anything you do. Much success in the years to come 👍👍👍🤗

Simply exceptional!

Pros: I honestly don't think I've ever stayed in a place I felt more at home, was better looked after, or better fed! The food (dinner and breakfast) was really healthy and delicious - we absolutely loved it, and Hege Kristin was a great hostess and super company. Top marks! And good company from the other guests as well. This was certainly our kind of place to stay, and we'd want to stay again if we're ever back in the area.

Cons: Can't think of anything!! Maybe a better Aurora demo next time?

The highlight of our visit to Norway.

Pros: This century home has a wonderful, warm atmosphere and country honesty that settles over you during your stay. It all flows from our host, Hege Kirsten, whose warm personality and intelligence makes Overvoll Farm unique. The dinner she served was a gastronomical extravaganza! For me it was the best meal I had during our 2 week visit to Norway. All the salads and relishes were prepared with farm fresh ingredients and to my surprise, were raw. The salmon entre' was cooked perfectly. Hege Kirsten is a very accomplished cook and has put care, thought and research into her meals. We also enjoyed excellent conversation on a range of topics.

Pros: Fabulous hosts, we were greeted with a very warm welcome. The house is beautiful, with real Norwegian charm! It was lovely to share a wonderful breakfast with other guests. We were given excellent advice about things to do in the local area.

Pros: Overvoll farm is a charming place, with stunning views, exceptional food and lots of character. It serves as a great base to visit lots of things in the vicinity.

Pros: Such a beautiful house welcomed by such a lovely host. The kitchen was well equipped, bedroom was beautiful and comfortable, we had a log fire on, in the evening, and breakfast was a 10/10 😙👌
