Charming, cosy, practical, good value for money.
Pros: Location of the chalet is just off the main route to the centre of the small ski resort, it's quiet and has a beautiful view over the Gaustoppen mountain. The paths and roads are ploughed daily in winter season. The kitchen is part of the open plan communal downstairs area and is well equipped with pots & pans and an induction hob although lacked a microwave. There were basics that we and other guests donated to the store cupboard such as dishwasher tablets, herbs, tea bags, coffee, sugar etc. The log burner added warmth and comfort as well as being atmospheric. There is wood sold in the local store in the centre or at the supermarket in the village before you climb the mountain. The bathrooms have excellent showers, big, well lit mirrors and there is a hairdryer provided. I would highly recommended this chalet despite the few suggestions on what could have been better. We would definitely stay there again if coming to Gausta.
Cons: The chalet would benefit from mirrors in the bedrooms for things like putting in contact lenses, drying hair, applying suncream / make-up in order to free up the 2 bathrooms ...with 7 of us there was a toilet & shower queue! The bedrooms are quite small with minimal floor space & no wardrobes. Just 2 rooms had a small set of of drawers so we tripped over our cases a fair bit. The master bedroom had a padded storage box but lacked any coat hooks. There are no reading lamps, just one main light bulb/switch which is a little harsh at night. The master beds are king size not doubles - please note if you are bringing your own bedding! The bottom bunks are standard doubles. The mattresses are Ikea memory foam so if you are used to springs you may find them a little firm. There is underfloor heating downstairs and in bathrooms which can be turned up for warmth but there is no heating in the bedrooms, they rely on the heat travelling round the house. There was one electric plug-in radiator which we put into the coldest double room but everyone else left their doors open to warm up... it was -16 outside!

Vi havde en fantatsisk uge i den lækre cabinn og vi vil meget gerne komme igen en anden gang.
Pros: Super lækker hytte. Dejlig og god indretning. Super lækre madrasser. Fint med fire værelser og to badeværelser. Flot udsigt.
Cons: Ski in/ski out var svær for begynder. Der var ikke helt rent, da vi kom. -Køleskabet, ovnplader og hård i skufferne på nederste badeværelse. Ellers perfekt:-)

Great apartment for a visit to Gaustatoppen
Pros: The view over Gaustatoppen. Also, all beds were quite good and the rooms were spacy.
Cons: Check-in was a bit chaotic. The host had forgotten to send us the code to the lockbox and could not be reached. We had to reach out to the neighbour, who luckily was home and knew the code. Had they not been home, we don't know what else we could have done. The lampshades over the dining table were a bit dusty.

Høy standard og fantastisk utsikt.
Pros: Flott ny hytte/leilighet med høy standard, to fine bad, fantastisk utsikt mot Gaustatoppen, godt utstyrt kjøkken, komfortable senger.
Cons: Ikke helt ski in/out men meget kort vei opp til Gaustablikk hotell og skisenter eller enda kortere vei ned til Hovdestaul.
