Great view over the fjord

Pros: Lovely cottage at the top of the hill overseeing the fjord. Great location to explore the area from. Very attentive hosts. The path up to the hill is challeging for a regular car.

Pros: The house has a very beautiful location: it is very peaceful, in the middle of nature, with a beautiful view on the fjord - and still less than a 10 minute drive to Balestrand city. The house itself had all facilities we needed, and has a personal character. The owners are very friendly and helpful, communication is easy. We definitely recommend staying here. Good to know: in order to get to the house, you have to drive up a steep hill / mountain.

Pros: Very quiet and pleasant typical norsk hytte, surrounded by forest and sheep. Possibility to use interior fireplace, when a day is colder. Close path to Balestrand nature trail.

Cons: Actually no wifi connection, however we were not missing it at the end as the place was so charming!

Delightful experience of Norway's cabin culture with awesome Sognefjord views!

Pros: Charming way to dive into Norway's cabin culture! This Hytte has amazing views of the Sognefjord and is very well equipped! WiFi - of course! Cast iron stove - sure! Nice kitchen - you bet. Nice shower and bath. Off-grid solar equipped. The toilet is an outhouse, but very clean, no odors and easy to use. Everything worked well, the cabin was very comfortable, we loved it. Decided that we did not really need to go out for dinner either of the two nights we stayed and cooked in instead. Could not ask for a nicer spot. Host was exceptionally responsive and helpful. Her english is very good, so no communications issues for us.

Cons: The only issue is the drive in is about 1.5km on a dirt road. Doable in a low clearance vehicle, like a Tesla, but not ideal. So if you plan to stay here, rent a suitable car. Leaving the car below and walking in and out is not bad, so that may be an option.
