Sognefjord Gjesteheim

Pros: The room is very clean and comfortable. The owner is super nice. We had a small problem regarding our small dog, but he was willing to help without hesitation. The breakfast was good too.

Pros: Wonderful location, facilities and atmosphere. We would like definitely to visit again.

An excellent B&B for a short stay around Vik and Balestrand

Pros: Excellent location in front of the ferry. Paolo and Gulleig made sure we were comfortable from our arrival to our departure (thanks for the delicious home-made cake we could take with us for the day !!), they are extremely helpful if you want to visit the area. The property is extremely clean, quiet and charming. Breakfast is excellent, and we could enjoy a warm drink in the living room at the end of the day. We had booked a small room and found out we had much space than we expected.

Pros: The best location you can get next to sognefjord, very comfortable and clean,the breakfast was excellent and Paolo the owner and the host is one of the persons that you will want in every time that you will be guests somewhere 😀.

Welcoming, family run hotel that makes you feel right at home.

Pros: It was spotlessly clean. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome and make our stay a good one. At breakfast we had a wide of choice of food and lots of it. This is not your typical hotel with 'branded' bedrooms. It's got much more of a homely feel to it, with each room having its own style. It's right across the road from the ferry port, with only a few houses around it. It's only a 10 min drive to the nearest town. Our room was not large, but it had all we needed. And watching the ferries going in and out was fascinating. As evening meals are not normally served, we drove into town for a meal. But we could have stayed, as the owners kindly offered to cook for us if we would like something.

Very welcoming & friendly place to stay.

Pros: Hosts were exceptional - very welcoming & friendly. Breakfast was outstanding. Lots of lovely food. Even though we were right opposite the ferry terminal the noise was minimal - & a lovely view out to the Fjord. Location great for passing through.

Pros: The hosts were lovely and very knowledgeable about the language the culture and the area. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was wonderful.

Pros: The hosts (Paolo and Julia) were really friendly and hospitable. We also enjoyed Paolo playing the piano during dinner. The next morning, we got some delicious and freshly baked cake at breakfast.

Wonderful stay with wonderful hosts at the heart of Sognefjord.

Pros: I could write a long text, but I will just keep it short: Our stay at Sognefjord Gjesteheim was wonderful! Gullveig and Paolo are so welcoming and friendly. Staying here really gives you a notion of how special this area of Norway is!
