Very pleasant staff and stay. Interesting local history and terminal for ferry to Bergen.

Pros: Due to the Royal Wedding in Norway on Aug 31, 2024, my bus from Hellesylt to Maloy was cancelled (for security reasons?). I was stranded in Hellesylt and needed to take a cab to Maloy arriving later than the estimated arrival time. The woman doing check-in was very helpful to me. The room was comfortable. They have a late checkout which allowed me to catch up on some needed sleep. Norway was occupied for five years during WWII. You might find that the Maloy (pronounced like the last two syllables of guacamole) Raid Centre of Interest. Locals made numerous trips from here to the Shetland Islands during WWII saving many lives. The town honours these people who took those risks to this day. Also, one can get the Norled ferry from here to Bergen which is an inexpensive lovely 6 hour coastal ride.

Cons: The entrance is a set of fairly steep stairs. Upon leaving, I was assisted with a side entrance meant for wheelchairs which would still be a bit steep to manage.

Pros: Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr schön. Das Zimmer großzügig bemessen. Das Bad war entsprechend dimensioniert.

Cons: Schwere Zugänglichkeit,da die Straße vor dem Hotel aktuell Baustelle ist. Das Hotel hat keine eigenen Parkplätze. Die Parkplatzsituation ist derzeit etwas schwierig.

Pros: Sõbralik personal. Tasuta parkimine. Söögikohad lähedal. Mõnus väike linnake, kus elu käib ja kõik on väga sõbralikud. Üllatas meid meeldivalt.

Cons: Hotelli ümber olid tänavad suletud. Oleksid võinud meile teatada sellest ja juhatada, kuidas hotelli juurde autoga pääseb.

Gemütliches Hotel direkt am Hafen

Pros: Schönes, zentral gelegenes Hotel mitten in der eher verschlafenen Kleinstadt. Nur wenige Schritte vom Hafen entfernt, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die Fähre nach Oldeide sind direkt fußläufig zu erreichen. Schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Hafen und leckeres Frühstück.
