Fyri is great, staff are great!

Pros: Awesome place to stay and super cozy in the winter

Cons: Think guests should probably get at least one pool club visit included in their stay.

An impressive indoor space

Pros: A wonderful space inside the hotel. The reception area, bar and restaurant are all very spacious and impressive. Staff were okay too. They all yes to do personal jobs 😊 The open fire upstairs is the piece de resistance!

Cons: Sometimes the staff, particularly at reception, were too young and unworldly. Although they tried to help and their English is excellent, they did not seem to be able to see things from an older person's point of view.

Norwegian experience

Cons: No kettle in room so cannot enjoy hot drink in room cannot order in to bar if you do not want to eat in restaurant.

15/10 - Surprisingly Awesome Stay! A++

Pros: Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. The resort exceeded my expectations - one of the best places I stayed during my Norway trip. The room, design, and facilities were excellent. The breakfast had plenty of options with both cold and warm dishes, and the quality was very good. Overall, I would love to come back and stay longer next time. Truly an amazing experience!

Cons: Only a small detail - my grandmother felt there was some dust in the room, possibly because it hadn't been used for a while. Otherwise, everything was great.

Brilliant and beautiful hotel, loved the couple of days we were there.

Pros: Everything was good, our bed in the standard double room was enormous (queen size) and extremely comfortable, breakfast very rich with delicious, good quality selection. Hemsedal is such a beautiful location, will definitely come back, and stay at Fyri if we are in the area. The lobby has many sofas and armchairs and loved the fact they’ve had pool table, table tennis, chess dotted around so you can play while you enjoy a drink on a dark evening. Free parking was also a bonus.

Cons: Nothing to fault really, only one note regarding room cleaning, they didn’t come to our room until after 2pm, by which time we were already back in the room, otherwise all great. The pool and sauna could have been included in the room rate, rather than having to book and pay separately.

Great design and atmosphere

Pros: Great atmosphere, design. The lights inside and furniture and the shared spaces are spectacular. Good breakfast in nice atmosphere. Free parking. Great place to start hiking.

Cons: The biggest disappointment was dinner in a la carte restaurant. Pricy and the taste was bad. The swimming pool and sauna comes with additional fee.

Pros: Beautiful property with great views. Very good breakfast.

Cons: The restaurant was fully booked, did not have chance to eat the dinner at the hotel. Also, pool club is very busy, must be booked in advance.

Enjoyable, beautiful, delicious & luxurious stay at a reasonable price.

Pros: Gorgeous hotel, tastefully decorated, felt like we were in the lap of luxury - from furnishings to the cozy bathrobes in the rooms. Loved the photos that decorated walls throughout! Staff was helpful & friendly in spite of busy hotel.

Cons: Nothing.

Definitely coming back.

Pros: The main thing is they're the first hotel of many on our journey to serve real scrambled eggs. The hotel is super inviting, the small seating areas are super cozy, making you want to actually use them, compared to most other hotels where they feel like an afterthought. The breakfast was super nice, felt fresh and high quality, and they had a nice selection of different things, something for every taste. The staff was super nice and welcoming, the room was clean and felt well thought out, and the bathroom looked modern. Overall a very cozy stay. We did however not use the pool or eat dinner there, so I can't speak of the quality of that.

Cons: The only minus i can think of is that the pool area costs extra to use, and it's limited to a certain time period. So if you want to use the pool for an entire day, you will need to pay for multiple time slots. This is also the reason we didn't use it.

Very lovely - excellent breakfast selection, great facilities and very clean. Overall a lovely and peaceful stay!
