Nice location with great views.

Pros: The guesthouse is part of a community farm that focuses on ecological farming. Free ranging (outdoor) chickens, fresh produce and spectacular views of the larges lake in Norway makes Fokhol gård a great place to visit.

Cons: It would be nice to have breakfast / coffee options. Especially with the farms own produce. A dream would be a simple farm-like breakfast with locally sourced products of high quality. And coffee. Having access to coffee in the morning would be great.

Peaceful Stay with a Minor Inconvenience

Pros: Overall, it was a great experience. The farmhouse setting was calm and relaxing. There were quite a few mosquitoes and flies — expected in a place like this — but nothing too disruptive. If not for that, this might have been one of the best stays I’ve ever had.

Pros: Basic - sweet, romantic, old fashioned, sustainable, a step out from the hustle and bustle. Shared bathrooms worked like a charm.

Cons: No interaction at all with personell - as the place sells itself as an alternative / cooperative kind of dwelling, it would have been nice with some form of human interaction. Not necessarily for the check in or check out - that worked very well.

Pros: The breakfast was disappointing, too few brewers for the coffee and the jam was nearly empty. It would be nice to have a bit more to choose from, like ham or eggs…a lot of hens on the farm.
