Lovely spot, with great dinner, simple and tasty breakfast - and amazing views of the lake and mountains!

Pros: Lovely place - the lake nearby is picturesque, the rooms and common areas are all very nicely done.

Cons: Nothing. Bathrooms are shared (though spacious and clean). Walls a bit thin (it’s an old school building), but the hotel provides earplugs. We didn’t have any issues.

Peaceful stay in beautiful Vang

Pros: The view from the room over the fjord is amazing, and it's such a peaceful spot. The best part though was the food - we are both vegetarians and my wife is pregnant and they adapted the 3-course dinner in the evening perfectly for us. It was 10/10 food both for dinner and breakfast, which was amazing considering that there's not really any other option in the area. We could barely leave the hotel as we had such horrible weather due to the storm, but it was still such a cosy stay.

Perfect overnight stop on our motorbike tour… But could’ve stayed longer!

Pros: Beautiful building full of character and lovely decor. Don’t forget to sign up for the set menu evening meal of delicious local produce. It was fantastic. We also recommend booking the sauna on the beach,we did it before breakfast. A great way to start the day before a few hours on the motorbike.

Top freundlich, im Zeitreise Hotel von 1891.

Pros: Sehr nettes Personal, sowie sehr Hilfsbereit. Wurde sogar zum Einstieg für die Wanderung gefahren. Essen hervorragend mit hochstehenden Regionalproduken. Jederzeit wieder!!!

Perfect hotel met een gepassioneerde gastvrouw

Pros: De gastvrouw die alles doet om het je naar de zin te maken. Tevens is ze een uitstekende kok en daar eten is absoluut aan te raden! Alles van lokale leveranciers en zelf geteelde groenten etc. Dat geldt ook voor het ontbijt. Misschien is de keuze minder dan in grote hotels maar de kwaliteit is veel en veel beter! En wees eerlijk: haal je die 17-18 euro per ontbijt er nou ooit uit in die grote hotels? Ik dacht het niet. De lokatie is geweldig aan het meer en het hotel ademt echt Scandinavische sfeer uit. Echt een aanrader!
