Pros: It is a unique experience, expect a warm welcome. These are the nicest owners I’ve met travelling, they were so kind to me and my son. Absolutely charming place.

Pros: This property was very close to the town of Gol and it was a very convenient ride to get up to the farm via Google maps. The room spacious because we got our on little house with a dining area, living area, kitchen and bedroom, and a cot was provided for the baby. There was sufficient kitchenware and induction hob to cook simple pasta and boil water, make tea and coffee. Also there was a fridge and freezer. The breakfast was amazingly prepared with great hospitality, our favorite item was the freshly made bread with butter and jam. Lots of space in the property to walk around

We were made to feel special.

Pros: Accommodation was a beautiful old hut in a country setting. Quaint and cosy. Staff were very friendly and would do anything to help. We were given a welcome snack and breakfast was great. We were driven down to the train station at the end of our stay.

Cons: Stairs were steep and narrow but we had the option of moving to another hut and we chose this one. Low ceilings meant bumped heads do we had to be careful.

A historical gem with a lovely hostess

Pros: A perfect stay at this quaint farm with charming historical buildings. The breakfast, homemade with fresh produce from the farm, was outstanding, and the hostess, Ligia, was wonderful.

Beautiful historical site at Gol

Pros: Staying at Hesla Farm was like traveling several hundred years back in time, only we were lucky enough to have a slightly more modern kitchen, heating system and bathroom! Fresh warm bread, jam, fruit and newly hatched eggs were served every morning- just remember to ask if the eggs are raw or boiled!! Warm and accommodating hosts. I admire their desire and ability to restore a part of Norwegian architectural history.

Cons: Our bed was a little hard but our host bought a new matress the next day and we slept like princesses the next night!

A must stay place for real experience.

Pros: We were picked up from the bus station and taken to the railway station the next day. Despite the confusion caused by booking.com property description the lady owner put my daughter and I in a fantastic lodge with two double beds, a kitchen and bathroom. This was a unique experience to stay in an old building that had all the modern amenities. We needed an early breakfast and what a surprise at the spread provided of fresh produce including egg, salmon and fruit. We recommend that if you are ever in Gol you must stay here.
