Amazing family house with charm and views of beautiful Balestrand

Pros: Amazing old house seeped with family history and character set in a beautiful location with balcony views over the Fjord and St Olaf's church. Had all the facilities we needed - including room fans which are needed more and more in Norway these days, but rarely provided!

Fantastic location

Pros: Lovely location with beautiful views. Great value for money.

Cons: The house is in less good condition than in the photos and one of the bedrooms is difficult to access due to extremely narrow landing/balcony.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the property and in Balestrand.

Pros: Charming Victorian home. Great location. Easy entrance to property. Very clean. Although we didn’t cook, the kitchen was very well equipped.

Cons: It would have helped to have more bed pillows, more places to hang towels in bathrooms.
