Pros: Very friendly and accommodating host.The place is very clean. The view of the Fjord is amazing. Rooms are spacious and airy.

Cons: You are not allowed to drink the tap water. However, there is drinking bottled water in rooms and at the reception.

We enjoyed our stay there, wish it was longer!

Pros: Very friendly onwers, even helped us with a car problem! The place is in a great location, has access to a beach where you can go fishing. Breakfast was very tasty, the dining area had a great view.

A hidden gem full of things to do next to the fjord with absolutely lovely hosts!

Pros: I totally agree this is a hidden gem! The people from Alværa Missionssenter are really really friendly! There was so much to play with for the kids, table tennis, volleybal, frisbee, soccer and we could use the fishing rods as well. After a lucky catch the super friendly and good cook Jens made fish cakes as an extra for dinner, so great! They picked us up form the ferry in Lavik and brought us back as well which was excellent service. And making a fire at the fjord in the evening was the cherry on the pie, thank you very much for such a lovely stay! P.S. The rooms are indeed very basic but they have all you need, really suitable for a stay with children as well!

Hidden pearl with warm service and beautiful fjord views.

Pros: Lovely little hidden pearl with plenty of activities for children. Dinner (250nok pp) and breakfast was home cooked and tasty. You can go fishing if you’d like by the fjord that is a mere 50 meters away. Rooms are decorated in the usual utilitarian Norwegian cabin style. Beds were very comfortable! The staff and other guests were all very friendly making this feel like visiting a hearty family! Cannot recommend this place enough (especially if you plan to take the ferry from Larvik to Flåm, or elsewhere). Note: We are not religious, just visited as we were passing by on our roadtrip.

Pros: Wat een lokatie! Gezwommen in het fjord! Alles heel basaal dat wel. Eten was simpel maar goed.

Vi koste oss, og kommer gjerne tilbake til denne fredfulle plass.

Pros: Vi var tre familiemedlemmer på to rom. Frokosten var enkel, men veldig god. Dette var et stille og fredelig sted, og vi ble mottatt på aller beste vis. Stedet minnet oss om et leirsted som vi alle tre har gode minner om. Vår anbefaling er derfor: Trenger man overnatting på sin ferietur, ikke reis forbi dette stedet.😊

Chouette étape dans une ambiance familiale

Pros: De passage vers le ferry, l’arrêt à ce petit centre d’été fut fort sympathique : bon accueil, chambre simple et propre. Nous avons apprécié l’atmosphère de cet hôtel d’été qui doit accueillir des groupes en toute saison. Repas buffet familial et cerise sur le gâteau : un mini golf. Ah oui : superbe vue et possibilité de se baigner 😄

Cons: Cela reste un centre pour groupe, deux lits simples 😄
