Much better than expected

Pros: Very fast help with a disfunction of the sink. Breakfast acceptable. Nice view. Nice restaurant in building.

Cons: Smell of frying fat on arrival and smoking outside of our bedroom window by restaurant staff.

Pros: The view from the window is really amazing! There is a food shop nearby, and it is very handy.

Cons: The cleanliness of the room could have been a bit better, but overall everything was good.

Pros: Was as expected, a nice base to then explore Rosendal

Pros: The breakfast was more pleasant than I thought it would be based on the previous reviews: it was enough for my breakfast and lunch.

It was superb

Pros: It was an amazing experience, and I’ll definitely visit again. I wasn’t satisfied with the breakfast at first, so I requested a change in the restaurant kitchen. The cook prepared a superb alternative that we absolutely loved. The lady in the kitchen was also very kind and cooperative.

Fjord night

Pros: Free parking, restaurant below, nice views to the fjord

Cons: The shower was pretty small

Norway road trip

Pros: We were able to self check-in. We were travelling on a motorbike, the restaurant staff allowed us to park it under the canopy at the back as it was raining all night. We liked the shared kitchen area, breakfast was left in the fridge in the morning in a marked take-away box. There was tea, coffee and hot chocolate available. The room was good, clean and comfortable with a good view of the fjiord.. The shared bathrooms were very clean and readily available. There are 2 showerooms with toilet and sink. 2 toilets with sinks. The co-op is across the road if you need it. The restaurant below was really good...I suggest you book ahead. Contact them separately.

Cons: We aren't keen on sharing bathrooms, but this was the only place available to us and wasn't a problem. There was noise (music) from the bar in the town but luckily we had earplugs so, it didn't affect us.

Pros: Great location, nice view of the fjord and the moutains, generous breakfast (self service in the kitchen there is no reception).

Cons: A little bit noisy on road's side (no so much traffic).

Great value, comfy stay

Pros: Easy to find, close to the ferry and bus station, close to shops, restaurants and walks, very comfy bed, very powerful and hot shower, room was really clean and breakfast was simple but sufficient. We stayed in room 1 and I slept like a baby! Only slight road noise until 10pm ish and some movement downstairs in the AM, but nothing I could sleep through.

Cons: There was no butter or jam left at breakfast, could perhaps leave some of the individual packets in the room boxes rather than in shared boxes as those that got up early ate all the butter and jam leaving none for others (perhaps not enough put out to start with). Some road noise until 10pm ish but didn't bother us.

A good value, clean place to stay in a great location.

Pros: The location is brilliant, a 2 minute walk from the pier with a supermarket opposite and a short walk from the village centre.

Cons: It wasn’t made clear when we booked that there would be no staff on site, no reception etc. we had a faff getting our room codes to get but once we got that it was a great place.
