Excellent stay in a relaxed location. Recommend it.
Pros: This accommodation is very isolated but lovely. Old homestead which has been tastefully renovated. Our room had a bath which was a treat. Host was very friendly We had a meal in the house with other guests - nice to have a \
Cons: Very steep stairs to bedrooms - but it is an authentic house, so not a complaint, just a warning. Walls were very thin.

Pros: Roster Gjestegard is a restored farmhouse from the 1800’s. Our room was very comfortable, the dining room exquisite, and offers a nice outdoor sitting area. Andre prepared a fantastic traditional Norwegian dinner and was overall a great host!

Cosy stay in renovated farm with super host
Pros: Very well renovated old farm close to Fjærland; the room was cosy and clean, with a comfortable bathroom with a huge shower. The host and his family were really nice and a pleasure to speak to. Also, great breakfast
Cons: The room was a bit cold at night and there were no blackout curtains to prevent the light from getting in - but minor comment, it was indeed a great stay!

Super friendly, calm and authentic
Pros: This is a gem: The owners have remodeled an old farm into this hotel that has so much charm and the whole experience calmly says: Authenticity. If you are looking for a courtyside guesthouse with just nature to surround you, this is the place.
Cons: The breakfast is very simple.

Very enjoyable two night stay.
Pros: The location off the beaten track but within easy reach of glacier viewing. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Quirky and comfortable accommodation. Made a welcome change from touristy hotels.
Cons: The thin walls between the rooms. Could hear person in next room snoring ! Location meant no restaurants near by.

Perfection with glacier walk -- stay here for a happy life!
Pros: This was one of our very favorite places to stay during our two-week trip in Norway. It's in an absolutely gorgeous location. The dinner we booked in advance was fantastic, as was the breakfast. It's in a historic house. The hosts are lovely, including their adorable teenage son (sorry, I shouldn't say adorable, now he's going to be embarrassed). Our room was so beautifully and tastefully restored, as were the public areas. I was looking at all the repainted woodwork and getting ideas for color schemes. After breakfast, the host recommended a lovely walk to the nearby glacier view. Everything was absolute perfection.
Cons: Everything was perfect and beautiful.
