Loved our short stay here.
Pros: Great place. Super cosy. The downstairs common area was very comfortable
Cons: Would have been good to be told upfront that the restaurant was closed (swing every message we received from the property urged us to book in to a venue that wasn’t going to be open). We also would have liked to be given some information/ instructions around what we could and could not do in the kitchen and service area as we felt uncomfortable preparing food there - but as everything in the area was closed we really had no choice. Fire wood would also have been a bonus…. It was cold in there

Comfortable historic house in the heart of Vågå
Pros: Fantastic historic place in the heart of Vågå, right over from the church. This old house has all the warmth and cleanliness of modern comforts whilst retaining its charm. Breakfast was superb. Overall great value for money. I was only here very briefly for an overnight business trip but I would happily come back!
Cons: Self check-in was a little confusing, and felt a little awkward walking in to an empty house. I was allocated a different wrong room number by the system than had been prepared. All the rooms had the doors open but only one was made up with sheets and towels, and I couldn't have known that I was the only guest that night. This was all quickly rectified with a phone call, so no problem, mistakes happen. Ideally I would have been shown in, but I appreciate that self check-in helps keep the price very reasonable which was one of the main reasons for choosing Sov Lodge.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at this rural hotel and felt very well looked after from the start. The rooms and bathrooms are beautiful, comfortable, and cozy, and everything was spotless. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. We especially appreciated the help with the sauna, which is not part of the hotel. Since it was our first time, he personally went there in advance to turn it on so it would be ready and working when we arrived, even though he didn’t have to. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return.

Pros: We met this excellent host during the breakfast, very pleasant and approachable man. The area was really calm, rooms were comfortable and clean.

A great hotel with superb breakfast and great value for money
Pros: You check-in yourself with some information provided by SMS. I didn't get that at first but they helped me quickly via phone. Very friendly! The room was nice and the breakfast was really really good with some homemade things!
Cons: Some rooms do not have a private bathroom and you have to use a shared bathroom instead. There were two of them and I had no problem finding an empty one when I needed one. It was very hot during our stay and the room under the roof was thus quite hot. However, I think the weather is usually milder.

Fantastisk, kommer gjerne tilbake
Pros: Stedet er så koselig, nyoppusset og holdt i en autentisk stil. Personlet er hjelpsomme og hyggelige. Frokosten inneholder blant annet hjemmelaget brød og knekkebrød, samt gode og lokale råvarer. Det er fyr på peisen og tente lys i frokostsalen. Dette må oppleves.

Pros: Utrolig hyggelig, lite hotell. Lett å sjekke inn, selv om vi kom sent på kvelden. Frokosten var kjempegod med hjemmebakt brød, knekkebrød og flere lokale råvarer! Anbefales på det sterkeste ☺️
