Scandic Rock City

Pros: When you travel frequently, you occasionally stumble upon a hotel that stays with you, and Scandic Rock City is one such hotel. It's a beautifully decorated hotel with a rock music theme. The entire interior is beautifully coordinated, with lamps featuring hundreds of vinyl singles and a beautifully lit check-in desk. The breakfast was fantastic, the restaurant has a beautiful view, and there was a delicious cappuccino to enjoy. Everything was perfectly organized. Kudos also to the Christmas decoration team.

Pros: Super friendly, helpful receptionist who went above and beyond helping me with the luggage I was carrying on my bike, so very much appreciated. My room was on the 8th floor and had a fabulous view over the Fjord. The room and ensuite was immaculate, great size and nicely furnished. Breakfast was plentiful, with a great choice to suit everyone. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Cons: No streaming services connected to the TV so no evening's viewing entertainment

Pros: A very interesting hotel with lots of musical d3corations.food was varied selection and well cookedthey had a parking garage.

Cons: No coffee in the room and no spare pillows.

Great place to stay

Pros: The comfort of the bed was excellent, clean and enough space for both of us. Breakfast was good, we can't comment about dinner from the restaurant because it was closed for private function. Location is good and there is a cinema next door, grocery store at the opposite. A few good restaurants within walking distance. It has its own parking space. The overall experience was good.

Cons: The internet speed was a bit disappointing. It has been disconnected a few time.

A great place to stay and one of the best hotels we have stayed in so far in our six weeks travelling through Norway.

Pros: Fabulous decor and room layout, very comfortable we arm and cosy. Great bathroom, great view and wonderful food in the restaurant. Easy parking and central location. Nothing to dislike.

Pros: very kind employees, there always was helpfull and good to answer questions.. the room was really nice

Cons: breakfast was cold.. there could have been done more to keep it warm.. but other than that it was good food

Pros: Very friendly front staff that called me when the room was available for check-in. Also very helpful when we were booking the room and needed an extra bed in the room. Room was very nice, clean, spacious and with good view. Our family had different opinion about breakfast. Most of my family had cooked breakfast which they thought were of poor quality - the fried egg were really hard and stale, like candy jelly. The pancakes did not taste homemade and the waffles were hard. I on the other hand, had a cold selection and really enjoyed the variety and quality of the food.

Cons: The spare bed they brought in were really uncomfortable.
