Fantastic cabin for skiing
Pros: We loved the cabin itself and its location, especially the ski-in and ski-out facilities. The views were absolutely fantastic. The sauna and the jacuzzi were simply wonderful and an invaluable addition. We also really appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was, with seasonings and basic sauces provided, which made shopping much easier. In addition, the cabin was fully stocked with more than enough bed sheets, towels, toilet paper, and other essentials, which made our stay very comfortable.
Cons: While the cabin itself deserves five stars, there were a few issues we wish had been better. The main one concerns the technological setup of the cabin. It is very modern, with lighting and heating controlled through a central panel at the entrance. Unfortunately, this system was quite difficult to use. For context, we were eight people between the ages of 25 and 32, and even by the end of our stay we still did not fully understand how to properly operate the lights or resolve the heating issues. There were no standard light switches in the rooms. Instead, each room had four buttons for the lights, none of which functioned consistently or did the same thing twice. The rooms were very cold upon arrival, and some of them remained below 18°C throughout our stay, as the heating system would repeatedly override our temperature adjustments. We constantly tried to correct the settings using both the room thermostats and the central panel, but the system would revert, making the nights cold and uncomfortable. Although instructions were provided, they consisted of videos in Norwegian only, with no translations available. This made it very difficult to follow, even when attempting to use translation tools. Overall, this was quite frustrating and detracted from an otherwise excellent stay.
