Kvamseter Lodge

Pros: Very good place to stay for this money. We got three rooms, kitchen with sofa, children's bedroom and our bedroom. Very spacious 👍

Cons: The oven was dirty, so when we turned it on, there was smoke from old food/oil.. we ended up not using it as it would start the fire alarm in the whole building 😅 We went down to the other kitchen and it was better there.

Great place

Pros: We had a great time at Kvamseter Lodge, very clean and comfortable rooms, great sights to see nearby

Cons: The only negative was the noise - the walls didn't block the sound from the hall at all so it got quite loud at times

Cons: - bad smell in the bathroom - narrow double bed

Pros: A convenient base for exploring the area. Magnificent views, waterfalls, and close to Bergen.

Pros: We had a really nice stay. The place is in beautiful surroundings, super peaceful. Everything was tidy and well-kept, which we really appreciated. Perfect for a quiet getaway!

Family room with kitchen – good base for nearby nature sites

Pros: This guesthouse is probably most popular during ski season, but it's also well located for summer travellers — quite close to Steinsdalsfossen and Norheimsund. Easy to find, clear instructions, and good communication with the host. We had a family room (double bed and sofa) with a shower and kitchenette. The room was clean, bathroom fully functional, and kitchen had basic dishes, pans, and a kettle. Fast Wi-Fi!

Cons: We recommend fixing or replacing the front door lock — it's possible to unlock the door, but removing the key requires quite a bit of effort. Soundproofing between rooms is poor — children were running around loudly upstairs for quite a while. The storage box under the sofa was not clean, which made it uncomfortable to take bedding from there, especially for allergy sufferers. Some of the kitchenware needed to be washed before use. We couldn’t get the TV to work due to lack of internet connection — maybe a short instruction would help.

Pros: The room is perfect for 3 of us. Very basic kitchen, just enough for basic cooking. 👍🏻👍🏻 Good parking and good location.

Cons: Check-in process or how to access the lodge was communicated in Norwegian, it would be helpful if English translation was included.

Pros: Very nice stay in the middle of nowhere. Very easy self check in and public facilities e.g. Kitchen, game room, shower etc are very good. We like the quietness in the night and also the peace in the middle of mountain. the little wooden chalet with fireplace outside is very nice in the evening.
